An account is open for Fultondale Police Officer David Riddlesperger, who died on Nov. 3 at age 48, at Regions Bank.
Anyone may deposit money in Riddlesperger’s name into any Regions Bank in Jefferson or Shelby counties through Dec. 7. Donations will be given to the officer’s family. He is survived by a wife and two sons.
There is also a Tip a Cop event on Nov. 19 at Applebee’s in Fultondale. Police officers will be present at the store all day, and there will be a box into which people can put donations. Proceeds from that event will also go to Riddlesperger’s family.
