Jan. 14, 2011 — Garbage pickup schedules delayed
Advanced Disposal’s garbage pick-up schedule is as follows: Wednesday’s will be picked up Friday, and Thursday’s and Friday’s will be picked up on Saturday.
Allied Waste, which picks up for Brookside, resumed some routes for services Tuesday evening.
Veolia Environmental Services, which picks up for Fultondale, tried to run Tuesday, but too many roads were closed; Veolia resumed on Wednesday.
Blood drive moved
The Red Cross blood drive that was scheduled for last Monday at the Gardendale Chiropractic Center has been moved to Jan. 31. It will begin at 10:30 a.m. and end at 3:30 p.m. The center will also be performing spinal screenings. Gardendale Chiropractic Center is located at 1080 Main Street.
Pinson Valley band to march for governor
The Pinson Valley Marching Chiefs have been selected to participate in the inaugural parade for Gov.-Elect Robert Bentley on Jan. 17. in Montgomery.
